May 2, PCT Miles 42ish-59ish

just imagine the desert. Mile 50 something on the pct. prickly pear cacti, sage, dry air, and an epic all day climb up with views for 50 miles or more. a gentle wind carrying the fragrant scent of full bloom yucca, a scent like lilacs mixed with gardenia. beautiful little yellow birds in the shade, lupin, horny toads, and lizards with electric blue tails. trail names like The Business Man and Gumbi, kindness of trail angels from Mexican descent giving me water and cold hibiscus tea at a road stop, and a north bound journey that feels like an epic electric guitar solo, with of course, a symphony backing it upon every summit. this is the shit! now back to Airplane Mode.
